Holiday Postcards, Term 4, Week 1

We wrote postcards to a family member or friend about our school holidays. We put stamps on them too.

In writing we are learning to paint a picture in our reader's mind - in our postcards we used a conjunction to make our sentences longer, so we were able to add more detail to our writing. More detail helps paint a clearer picture in our reader's mind.

To Dad. I went to the movies and saw The Haunted House.

I went to Gradma's and Grandpa's for a play date in the holidays. Dear Mrs Komen.

Dear Mum. I went to the swimming pool with mum.

Dear Mum. It's my grandma's birthday yesterday and I made a card for her.

To Clemence. I went in a camping van and it was fun.

Dear Ury. I went to the swimming pool and I dived.
